In a world where sustainability is becoming an increasingly critical concern, the fashion industry has come under intense scrutiny for its environmental impact. Among the myriad of accessories that define our personal style, one brand stands out for its commitment to both fashion and sustainability is Kowy®. In this article, we’ll discuss the sustainability of Kowy® and our products.
Is Kowy® Sustainable?
Yes, Kowy® uses sustainable materials to do our part in reducing the world’s carbon dioxide levels. With our a green initiative, we join many other brands and companies in the fight against climate change.
Under the project Kowy® Cares, we develop personal relationship connections with an intent to bring optical care to unprivileged families. And this is a way of being sustainable in a way, but we started wondering and getting questions about the materials of our products.
Kowy® mainly uses Brass and Cubic Zirconia sustainable materials within our products. Both of which have been found to be sustainable.
Is Brass A Sustainable Material?
The brass industry throughout the world depends on the recycling of brass scrap for its survival. Making brass from new copper and zinc would be uneconomical and wasteful of raw materials so, since new brass articles are made from recycled scrap, brass is said to be sustainable.
When comparing the recycle process of brass to that of other metals such as steel or aluminum, it can be seen that brass is significantly more energy-efficient. Brass can be recycled many times over without diminishing the composition so it means that the recycling process can continue to tie and again, thus making the metal highly sustainable.
In fact, brass is one of the most recycled materials in the world. This high rate of recycling helps to reduce energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and the need for virgin materials
Additionally, recycling brass also helps to conserve natural resources and reduces waste that would otherwise end up in landfills.
The sustainability of brass extends beyond just its recycling process. Brass itself is a highly durable material that can withstand harsh environments and has a long lifespan.
This longevity means that products made from brass can be used for many years before needing to be replaced, further reducing environmental impact.
Is Cubic Zirconia Sustainable?
Yes, Cubic Zirconia is sustainable.
One of the best things about cubic zirconia, as opposed to mined diamonds, is that it is a sustainable choice of gemstone, considering that it is lab-grown. You can be sure that the cubic zirconia is conflict-free, ethical and sustainable.
Cubic Zirconia is also the cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2)
Its popularity as a diamond alternative has grown significantly in recent years due to its affordability, durability, and brilliance. In addition to being sustainable, cubic zirconia is also hypoallergenic and resistant to scratching and abrasion.
It is a great choice for those looking for an environmentally friendly and affordable option for their jewelry pieces!
Overall, Kowy® goes above and beyond to work with ethical resources and sustainable materials to provide a fashionable and unique product that anyone can enjoy!
